Well, it came and went and now I'm another year older. I had a great day. My great co-workers bought me a Sunshine cake complete with snazzy new shades. They wanted me to wear them around all day at work, but since that was "unprofessional" I decided to wear them that night and take a picture to prove it to them! 
Then my boss brought me in a mint chocolate chip ice cream pie! So I had way more sweets than I could handle. I'm glad that even though I had to work, that I enjoy my job and co-workers enough to make it an even better day. I am so glad that I even have a job in this economy, let alone one that allows me to associate with such good people! I went out to lunch with Justin, and to show just how much he loves me, we went to my favorite fast food chain.
Anyone who really knows me, knows that I love Arbys! I always order the same thing. A Beef N' Cheddar sandwich with curly fries and a cherry turnover (if I'm splurging, which I got to on my birthday!) Justin is so sweet to let me go there, because honestly he just doesn't see what the big deal is about it it....I don't know either, I just love it. So after work Justin had made a beef roast, mashed potatoes, carrots, salad and more for dinner. His parents helped and we even had Justin's sister and her family over. I didn't even lift a finger to help, which made me feel guilty, but happy too. And for dessert, Justin made my special request peanut butter rice krispie treats with chocolate topping! It was all so yummy and fun. 
My Parents got me this cute "designer" watch. I got to pick it out, and I love it! Justin's parents got me a sewing machine cover so that I can finally take it out of the cardboard box it came in. It's much more portable now! Justin and I had a fun time shopping at REI a couple of weekends ago for my presents. It was their used gear sale and I got a great deal on some shoes and a camel back for hiking. I also got my very own backpacking pack, which I hope to get a lot of use out of in the coming summers!
I can't believe I'm 24! It seems so old, though I know it's not. I am excited for the adventures to come, and am relieved at some of the ones that are now behind us. Mostly I'm greatful for a wonderful husband who shows me EVERYDAY, not just on my birthday, how much he loves me!

Happy Birthday Lauren!! I'm so glad you had a good b-day, even though you had to be with us most of the day,:-( Maybe next year for the big two five, you can take the whole day off and go play with Justin! I'm sure you'll be counting down the days
